Sing to the Dawn

Happiness! Yes! Happiness. I felt what was real happiness today. I recieved my examination results today and i topped my whole class. Normally all your fathers would be happy to see your results and might even buy you whatever you want. BUT!! My father was at his worst mood after seeing my results. You all might wonder why let me tell my lifestory.

My name  is Dawan. I am a Thai girl. Here, I have a hard time to even go to school. My father thinks that education is only for boys. Girls must stay at home and learn to cook and learn about the responsibilities that they are going to have in the future. He also says that only boys have right to get the scolarship and go overseas to continue their studies.

My mother on the other hand is willing to help me but is too afraid of my father. Nevertheless to say my brother is my rival. He is second in class. Everyone expected him to top the class. The only person in my family who absolutely supports me and cheer me up whenever i am down is my grandma. She always goes against my father to help me.

But this time my father is strong and stubborn in his decision of sending my brother overseas for him to continue his studies in my place.I just dont want to give up only chance to explore the world and learn many new things.

The Hollow Horseman (BoOk ReViEw)

Hi guys!I am back and this post is about the rewiew of a book that I have read.The name of the book is 'The Hollow'!

Sounds very different right???

This book is by Christopher.Shane and Aimee are the main characters of the story.This book is about a curse landed on a town named 'SLEEPY HOLLOW'.This was due to an ancestor of Shane and Aimee.The ancestor beheads the town headmaster.The sprite of the headmaster returns in the form of the Legendary HEADLESS HORSEMAN.He wanted to take revenge on Ichabod cane and his blood relation for his unreasoned murder.When Shane and Aimee enter the town,the curse takes effect and mishaps and murders occur all round the town.It was up to Shane and his sister to find out about the murderer and solve the problem.

Mystery is the main genre of the story.The author has filled the pages with amusement,surprise and suspense.This boosted the mood of the storyline and increased our urge to flip the page and read up the story.Christopher has elaborated so much of the scenes that we could imagine them easily.Thus,I was rooted to the couch and never had a thought of puting down the book.

I know guys,you are quite bored reading the plot.Now let me explain more about the chatacters.Shane is a very unslocilised youth,who is always locked up in his room.He is bookworm thus he does most of the 'paper work' search in the story.Unlike his personality,he is lion hearted as he even challenged the DEADLY horseman at one part of the story.Aimee,his younger sister in contrast to Shane,likes to party out alot dares to do anything and depends on her brother to cover her to her dad.In the story,each and every character has their own problems.Christopher has solved these in a ingenious way.

I recommend this book to all mystery lovers.If you don't like your story book to be thick or thin  then this is your book.Oh!!I almost forgot tell you that there are three other books in continuation of the storyline.

There are more than 100 billion people in mother Earth.Not everyone of them are the same.Preference of each people varies.Many riots have occured between races due to their different beliefs.

This post is about my likes and dislikes.

There are many things that I like in the world.One of them is cycling.Cycling could be a hobby,exercise or anything.For me, it is a way of relaxing my mind from all my stress.The breathaking scenery makes my bad mood to fade off,the cool breeze soothes my hot tempered mind and finally some vigorous cycling refreshes my body .After a ride,I am able to relax and concentrate better in my studies.I also recommend others to cycle as it helps to recharge our mind and body.On top of that,it is also a great exercise to all.

Nextly,I am going to talk about my favourite subject,MATHEMATICS!!!Maths is a great way to sharpen our minds.If we practice maths every single day,we would be able to do many challenging problems easily.Fundamental maths is very important.Without it we can't excel well in maths.Maths plays an important role in everyone's life.For example, let's say you are going to a restaurant to savour a meal and if the shop cashier has no integrity,he will cheat you.If you are  weak in maths,you might get cheated easily.After reading this, you might think I am very good in maths and a class topper.You are wrong I am just an average student.

I know!!Iknow!!Some of you might agree with me whereas others might disagree with me.Through this post, I just wanted to express my thoughts about maths and encourage you to do better in future.

Until now, I have shared all my likes to you.Now lets turn to my dark side of my heart.TO THE DISLIKES!!!!

From my childhood,I am really scared of heights. During my secondary one orientation camp,my class had to try out abseiling.The task was to move down from a four storey high building only with  the support of a single piece of rope.As usual, my fear dominated me and I withdrew from it.Eventhough I am still struggling to overcome this problem,I am confident that I would succeed one day.

 

WHAT to BLOG about????... Oh ya GAmes

Now a days, I am out of ideas of what to blog about!!When I glanced through my first post,I noticed that I have mentioned about games.

 I have passion for captains' ball.Being quite tall it is easier to play captains' ball.During my primary school time,I played it for most of my physical

education(PE) periods.

This does not mean that I do not play other games.

I also play floorball,soccer,and other games.At this moment, I have to mention that I only play as a defender.I am really bad in goalkeeping and striking.Any soccer pros there???Please help me improve my skills.Unlike these games,whenever I play handball,I love to be the goalkeeper.The reason behind it is that the goaling area is much smaller compared to other games.During secondary one when I played handball,I was able to block  most of the incoming strikes.

           Don't you feel quite bored reading my physical gaming expriences???

Let me tell you about my addiction towards video games.Just like any other teenager,I was attracted to the video games due to their astonishing graphics and mind blowing music tracks.After reading this, you might think that my house is filled with gaming devices such as gameboy,PSP(Play Station Portable),play station1,2,3 and various games' cd-roms.You are wrong!!!!I don't own any one of these gaming devices.

You guys might think that I am crazy to say I am addicted to video games without any gaming devices.That is true.My mother has banned me from buying any gaming devices due to my bad eye sight.Upon my birth,doctors diagonised that I had really high myopia.That is why, I am wearing spectacles for nearly 12 years .In concern of not to worsen my eye condition, my mother has grounded me from playing video games.This is the reason why I am so fond of playing video games.Unlike other students who play video games almost every single day, I only play when I go to my friends' houses.


Apart from my sadness,I know that'PREVENTION is better than CURE'.

Interest!!Interest!!interest!!

What rushes into your mind when you see the word 'INTEREST'.

Some people might get images of phonecards,stamps,etc.

For me, I only think of coins.Just like, I told you about my interest on my first blog, I love to collect coins of different countries.It is kind of COOL!

Whenever my father goes overseas on business matters,he returns with coins that belongs to that country.This is how I have collected a whole bunch of coins. Some of my coins are from my grandfather.

Now he has turned sixty-five.You won't believe that my grandfather also had the same interest on coins just I do.Every single coin is unique.My aim is to collect as many coins as possible,from every single country in the world.

If you talk about the coins in my collection,I feel that coins from China are very fascinating.All the coins are in a complete circular shape.They have a square shaped hole in the center of the coin.This makes the coin unique to me.

No matter what, I love the indian coins.As far as I know,it is the only coin that has the lion's face on one side of the coin and flower shape on the other side.It is easier to play the game of 'toss' with indian coins.

Overall,I enjoy collecting coins.

Food (Yummy!!!)

Isn't your mouth watering after seeing the image above??? Food is the most important part of life.Without food our body will not get energy and without energy there is no life to enjoy.So having the meals at the right time is important.My favourite food is Chicken rice.It might not be the most healthiest food but everytime I savour the plate of chicken rice, it is a feast to my tastebuds.I would like to tell you more on how my chicken rice should be prepared.Firstly, I prefer alot of chilly as I like my food to be extra spicy.Nextly, the soup has to be quite warm thus it would go well with my spicy rice.Last but not the least, the chicken has to be accurately cut into small and tender pieces.With all these qualifications, my chicken rice would be great.This is my choice of food.What about YOU???

Personal Life

My name is Ajey Ashok.This is my first post to my blog.I live in singapore with my family.I am studying secondary two in a popular school.At present, I am doing good in my studies but still haven't achieved my target yet.Many people say that I have the potential to do very well in my studies. If you talk about sports I am quite good in captainsball. I enjoy being in Boys Brigade(CCA) through it, I have got many new friends.Recently, I went to an overseas trip (Cambodia) organised by my CCA to help the needy people.It was a very informative trip and I realised that I was so fortunate to be in singapore.If you ask about my hobbies and interests,I love to collect coins of other countries.Just like anyother typical teenager,I am an addict to video games.THat is all I have to say about myself for this blog see you next time.
